Has anyone dreamt

About their own death? I don't find it talked about a whole lot outside of symbolism of death like "weddings" and different "colors" sometimes dreaming about passed family members. Has anyone actually dreamt about their own death here?

    all the time!

i believe it's because i am continually undergoing transformation and/or releasing fear

Are you saying you think dream states are a form of death and that is how you dream about your death all the time? Dreaming > death > release of fear?

        no.

i am saying that i dream of death a lot,
        mostly me dying,
and that i believe that is my (subconscious) way of
        releasing fear
        and/or
assisting in my overall transformation in other ways

Some people are so intuitive that they can predict many normal things that we block. Death, birth, and even transformation. You enjoy transformation I can tell. The reason of course I asked is because I dreamt of my own death recently. Most other dreams about death have only been symbolic in nature or metephorical or just the old trickster mind. This one was different. Almost lucid but I did not take off....like I will in a lucid dream. What have you dreamt of your passing?

i can not specifically recall details of any dreams at this moment
(if i don't write them down when i awake, they're gone)
what i do recall is that when i allow myself to die in the dream
('cuz lotsa times i'm too scared and wake up)
i simply drift off into never never land
usually it's a floating sensation through the sky or into the depths of the ocean
            and i wake up refreshed

            as a related side note,
here's something that was in my mailbox this morning:

Poem: "The Dreams of the Old" by Timothy J. Nolan.
So they are around our table—my mother,
my father, an uncle—and we begin to talk
            about our dreams—with some urgency—
as if our dreams could pinpoint our psychic
            dangers—our unrealized goals—our
ordinary fear of death and the future.
My mother talks about her dreams of flying
over the little town where she grew up—
over the old Opera House—down Main Street—
with all the people she knew below her—
then towards the gently flowing river—
that seemed to flow into the sunset—
            toward which she soared—she lingered
with us on that image—as if she had said
            enough—then—my uncle talked about
his recurring dream—he's going to be
            in a play—but no one's bothered
            to rehearse the scenes—he's standing
in the wings waiting to go on—he doesn't
know what he will say—all through this
my father is silent—he is closest to death—
we all know this—we forgive him his silence—
            his silence—has his presence—as in a dream.

I have dreamt of my own death and woke-up upon dying in the dream. I was quite ratttled. I can't remember what was happening in my life at the time, but I do believe that it was a sort of out-of-body experience. What it means? I don't know. I guess I kind of go back to the Death card in tarot which is about transformation. Kind of like alchemy - transformation of essence.
