New member, I just had to ask,

If anyone has comments on these dreams. These are the actual entries in my dream journal, just as I wrote them to myself.

02-01-08 I haven't been remembering my dreams much lately, because of the night shift making me sleep deeply and straight through. But this one,.... There is an alligator with most of it's body chopped off, but it is still most definitely alive. A dog has it by the mouth, holding it's jaws closed, and is wrestling around with it. At some point, the dog lets it go, and the alligator gets it's jaws wrapped around the dog, and is biting it. I can see some bloody spots, but not a lot. The alligator is kind of small. I pry it's jaws off of the dog, and am interested to see what it's like holding the jaws of an alligator shut, so I grab the jaws. It really is easy to hold shut the jaws of an alligator, but as I hold on, I realize that now that I am in this position, I have to stay there, I can't let go. I am looking closely into the alligator's eyes, and though I can see some meanness, I mostly see sadness. And I keep wondering how in the world this alligator is continuing to live when it has no body. I don't remember any ending to the dream.

02-04-08 THIS IS THE BIG ONE!! After talking with Monika for a couple of hours, I was so inspired to begin my journey, I had my first ever lucid dream. The dream stayed right around here, in the area my trailer is parked in. I was walking around in semi-darkness, out near the warehouses. Then I yelled, to no one in particular, "Hey, I'm dreaming!" As soon as I realized that this was a dream, I started to fly. Fast. I didn't seem to be able to slow down, but I had control. The area was over ran with powerlines, and I was constantly having ot dodge them, but I did it ok. Then I was up higher, maybe 100 feet, and I saw two women walking. One was old and ugly, and the other was younger and cuter, but not what I would call beautiful. I flew down and landed in front of the younger one, and I think I was still testing to see that this was really a dream. I wondered if I could kiss her breasts, and immediately, they were out and available to me. They were quite perky, and very nice. I kissed and caressed each of them, and took off flying again. Now I was pretty sure that this was a dream, first because I got to kiss her breasts by just thinking of it, second because if it were real life, I would have stayed longer. I flew up onto the roof of a nearby warehouse, and there were some low walls I was stepping over. I decided to see if I could walk through them, so I tried it, and I could watch my legs and the walls become one, as the wall seemed to become fluid. With a little resistance, I walked through. So I tried a full height wall, and my entire body just melted into the wall, and came out the other side. Next thing I know, I'm in a twin engine plane with some men, and we're taking off from the road near my trailer, and we just barely clear some overhead wires, and I'm thinking it's a good thing the gear was already up, it was that close. End of dream, as I struggle to stay asleep.

02-05-08 I don't remember much from this one, other than that I am on one side of a bitter struggle against some very bad people. Our side is trying to lure the bad guys out of hiding so that we can kill them. We are using small children for bait, tied out in the middle of the open area. I remember looking into the eyes of a beautiful little girl, as I tied her up and left her out there for bait. This was a very disturbing dream.

I think you were exploring, the reptile thing and how they just can't evolve past the next thing being something to bite, maybe an ancient memory of a dinasour moment, I think on the next one, you realize that women do think of you in exactly these ways, then, on the bad guy one, you saw the end of all options, that brains need to know about. Yours, Jahg

-I agree on the first dream sequence, the alligator represented the primitive reptile brain, that part of that mind concerned only with self preservation, food, reproduction. The dog is the mammalian brain trying to over come the last dying part of you that is more concerned with self, than compassion. When you held shut the jaws of the alligator, then realized you were stuck in that position, that was your mind recognizing the problem that faces all human beings...the reptilian (non-compassionate) part of the brain is always there, no matter how trace, and we must always be diligent to over come it. It is never truly dead.
-Props on the lucid dreaming! It's a fun way to spend your dreamtime.
      - The dream about the little girl tied up in the open as bait, seems to indicate a deep fear of being forced to uncaringly sacrifice something precious, and vulnerable in your life, or in your self.

In many of my dreams in the last week since the ones I posted, I have been trying in one way or another to escape from something. It seems that every night, there is something or someone chasing me, and I have to try to get away. I haven't gone lucid again, but I think I did make contact with a distant friend. We had talked in the evening, and decided to try to meet up in our dreams. I remember seeing her walking by, and she said she felt me touch her shoulder. Sounds like a good beginning. I now keep a microcassette recorder next to the bed, since I have such trouble convincing myself to write things down in the middle of the night. We'll see how that works out. Thanks for your ideas.
