I want to know two things.....In my dream i was in a harbor looking out at a huge, turquiose ocean and i had a feeling of peace while i was looking at the horizon.
next part of the dream my (kind of) boyfriend was in the water below me. i jumped in to swim and play but i couldnt swim to the surface because currents were pulling me down. I got out of the water and made myself re-appear above the water back where i jumped from to try again. I knew it was an obsticle that i had to overcome. I jumped in a second time and still couldnt swim to the surface so i gave up and left. we went back to my apartment. end of dream.
i want to know; one, what looking at a turquiose ocean means. two, i want to know what it means to not be able to swim to the surface. i was definitaly lucid dreaming because i chose to try to jump in again. i was underwater unable to swim up so i tried twice, but couldnt do it.

This seems like a symbolic dream, where a Jungian "what part of this is you" could apply or possibly to your life . . . The Harbor represents your emotions, feelings of security, and your future . . . You say that your boyfriend is below you, but then it is your the currents that pull you down . . . is your boyfriend pulling you down, not allowing you to swim and play, is he "below" you?? You already answered your second question "what it means to not be able to swim to the surface" when you said "I knew it was an obstacle that i had to overcome" . . . if variations of this dream reoccur then you know what you need to do . . . This may not be about your boyfriend at all, but possibly how you handle your relationships, and emotions . . .
